Currently, It is not optimized for manufacturing. It is also too large for single-handed operation. A more compact version is under development.
High rate of fire – 3000rpm and beyond
We have achieved single-barrel rate of fire of 3000rpm.
And have techniques for practically unlimited rate of fire e.g. 60000rpm with a single barrel is possible.
Coilguns don't have gunpowder, primers, or casings. Therefore, their firing cycle is much simpler than that of a firearm, and easier to achieve a very high firing rate.
